Located on Estero Island, the Matanzas Pass Preserve is one of the few protected and undeveloped areas on the island.
The preserve is made up of four natural plant communities: maritime hammock, tidal swamp, black mangrove forest and coastal grassland. A wide variety of native plants and many unique plants.
There is a 1.25 mile boardwalk which also allows you to enjoy a diversity of wildlife.
