Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune was the daughter of enslaved parents. She rose from that life and founded Bethune-Cookman University and served as a four time presidential advisor. Her historic home, built around 1905, was the foundation to her success and tells her story.
Take a free tour and gain the “Bethune Experience.” Walk-ins are available, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday tours are by appointment only. No tours are available on Sundays or on holidays:

The historic home, located on the university’s campus at 640 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, Daytona Beach, FL 32114, also follows the university’s schedule and may be closed during holiday breaks.
