Veterans Day deals for military personnel

flagVeterans and those on active duty are eligible for assortment of freebies and deals for Veterans Day.

Most deals are available November 11. Some are offered November 12, or both days. Most require appropriate military ID.

Here are some of the merchants offering deals. With some, participation may vary.

 

  • Participating Applebee’s ——  free entree from select menu November 11 to veterans and those on active duty
  • Olive Garden ——  free entrée November 11 for eligible military staff
  • Participating Einstein Bros. —— free bagel November 11 for most of the day for military guests
  • Outback Steakhouse restaurants —– free Bloomin’ Onion and soft drink to veterans and those on active duty on November 11 and November 12; Military Mates 10 percent discounts November 13 to December 31
  • Golden Corral restaurants —— are offering free dinner 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. November 12 — a Monday — for veterans and active U.S. military.
  • Red Roof Inn —— 15 percent off during November to active and retired members of the military. Book online or by phone, 800- 733-7663
  • Participating TGI Fridays restaurants —— are offering free lunch November 12 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for veterans. Some restrictions may apply
  • California Pizza Kitchen —— free pizza and a non-alcohol beverage for veterans and active duty staff November 11 and November 12. Valid for dine-in guests.
  • Participating TGI Fridays restaurants are offering free lunch November 12 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for veterans. Some restrictions may apply
  • Sweet Tomatoes ——  With purchase of a meal at regular price, a free meal November 11 and November 12 for veterans and active duty personnel
