Free Mondays at Ringling Museum

It would seem that the Ringling Museum, one of Sarasota’s greatest attractions, wants to keep this a secret — because nowhere on its website will you find anything about free admission.
But John Ringling made this freebie a condition of his willing the museum to the state.
So, every Monday, you can save up to $20 per person (the current cost of regular admission) and enjoy a day of strolling the galleries and the grounds without paying a cent. Even parking is free.
Your free ticket doesn’t extend to the Circus Museum, Cà d’Zan Mansion or any of the special exhibits. For those, you need a paid ticket. But, the art museum and grounds alone can easily fill a day with a very satisfying diversion.
And, while you’re in Sarasota, you’ll find several coupons here that will save you a bit on some of Sarasota’s popular attractions, including $1 off the admission to the Ringling Museum, Spanish Point, the Mote Aquarium, and Jungle Gardens.
There are also coupons at this site for dining establishments, boat charters, kayak rentals, and other activities.

Just wanted to tell you that it does say Mondays are free of you go to the ‘Admission, Hours’ on their website. Glad you pointed it out though because I’ve been wanting to take my children and I have 4 of them!

Thank you so much for sharing your “secret” at Ringling…we have friends down from Ontario…who have been enduring the cold Florida weather and beach walks in parkas.!!..so to visit Ringling Museum for Free on Monday…1 March…has warmed our hearts,minds and souls…so Thank You again John Ringling for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
