On March 24, donate a non-perishable food item to Ben & Jerry’s and get a scoop of ice cream for $1. They’ll deliver all the food to a local food bank and you can choose any flavor you want. But can I say a word about those canned lima beans in the back of your pantry? Come on. Nobody wants those. Give up something good! It’s a win-win situation.

Leader to The Los Angeles Times and The Miami Herald, where she worked most recently.
